Q. How does our service contract help with regulation changes?
A. LOLER Regulations 1998 – safe use of lifting equipment Regulation 9;
3a1) every employer shall ensure that lifting equipment which is exposed to conditions causing deterioration which is liable to result in dangerous situations is….thoroughly examined…..in the case of lifting equipment for lifting persons or an accessory for lifting, at least every 6 months. Your service contract ensures your machine receives a full service and inspection every 6 months for compliance with LOLER 1998. PUWER Regulations 1998 – Regulation 5;
(1) every employer shall ensure that work equipment is maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and good repair
(2) every employer shall ensure that where any machinery any machinery has a maintenance log, the log is kept up-to-date.
Your service contract provides an ongoing programme of maintenance and a full servicing record for full compliance with PUWER 1998.
Q. What does our service contract cover?
A. Scheduling of routine servicing that takes care of all labour costs. Parts and additional labour are charged separately.
